Mothers Day Brunch Recipes

Brunch is a traditional Mother’s Day meal and it’s so well timed. Mom has had time to relax, enjoy her coffee and maybe even open her gifts. Brunch can be as lavish or as simple as you’d like, but keep Mom’s desires in mind. Maybe she’d prefer a quiet family event.

Be Prepared for the Event

Make sure you have a menu planned ahead of time. Go to the grocery store as soon as you can to make certain all ingredients are available. Expect the unexpected: uninvited guests, a burned dish, shortage of ingredients and plan accordingly.

Great Resources for Brunch Recipes

A classic brunch menus is a meld of breakfast and lunch foods such as eggs benedict, sausage, savory salads, pancakes and French toast, light sandwiches and fruit salads. Throw in some homemade coffee cake, light cocktails and you’re in business.

If you’re at a loss for a menu, consider focusing on Mom’s favorite lunch and breakfast foods. Once you have those set, fill in the blanks with complementary fare.
